DENTON — The North Texas men's basketball team has signed Aaron Scott, a 6-foot-7 wing from Spring, Texas.
The soon-to-be high school graduate averaged 15 points per game this season at Legacy the School of Sport Sciences. He spent his first three seasons at Klein Oak High School. He is rated by 247Sports.com and TexasHoops.com as a top 30 recruit in the state of Texas. Entering last year, Scott was recognized by Vype as one of the top prospects coming out of the Houston area.
"Aaron is a great kid that comes from a great family," said UNT assistant coach Matt Braeuer. "He is pushing 6-foot-7, he's long and extremely versatile. He loves to guard the best player on the floor and can score in a variety of ways on the other end of the court as well."
Scott announced his commitment to the Mean Green on the morning of North Texas' historic NCAA Tournament victory over Purdue on March 19.
Scott's length, athleticism and skill furthers the team's goals of building off last season's success.

The lengthy stretch forward comes to UNT after the Mean Green won the 2021 Conference USA Tournament, earned its highest seeding in the NCAA Tournament, won its first-ever game in the NCAA Tournament with an upset over Purdue and finished the year ranked No. 55 in the NET, which is the highest the program has ever finished a season in the NET and/or RPI.✍️ 𝙊𝙁𝙁𝙄𝘾𝙄𝘼𝙇
