Sarah Fuller Shines At ESPN ESPYS

NEW YORK — North Texas soccer newcomer Sarah Fuller was invited to attend the 2021 ESPN ESPY Awards, which were held Saturday at the rooftop of Pier 17 in New York City and broadcasted on ABC.
Fuller was invited and recgonized at the event for her leadership in gender equality. Last season while at Vanderbilt, Fuller joined the Commodores football team as a place kicker and made history as the first female to play and score in a Power 5 college football game. Since then she's positively used her platform to promote equality.
"It's amazing that I was the first but I don't want to be the last," Fuller said to media on the red carpet of the 2021 ESPYs.

Fuller, a goalkeeper, signed her national letter of intent to transfer to the UNT soccer team in November. She will join the team this fall and compete for the starting job as the team aims to win its nineth Conference USA title since joining the league in 2013. A schedule for the upcoming season will be announced soon.
