Hamlet, who played two seasons for the Mean Green from the 2018-2021, led UNT to the 2020 Conference USA regular season title and 2021 league tournament crown this past March. They earned an automatic bid into the 2021 NCAA Tournament where they upset Purdue 78-69 (ot) behind Hamlet's 24 points and 12 rebounds for the program's first ever NCAA Tournament win.
In his two years with North Texas, Hamlet who for his UNT career averaged 15 points per game, collected honors and accolades to go along with the wins. He was named the 2020 C-USA Male Student-Athlete of the Year, the 2020 C-USA Men's Basketball Player of the Year, 2020 C-USA Newcomer of the Year, 2021 C-USA Tournament MVP and he was a two-time first team all-conference honoree to go along with many more accolades.
Hamlet joins a Bnei Herzliya squad that in 2018 reached the group stage of the FIBA Europa Cup. Notable former Bnei Herzliya players include PJ Tucker, Ekpe Udoh, Taurean Green and Josh Shelby among others who have reached the NBA.
