UNT Trio Named Outrigger Kickoff All-Tourney

Honolulu, Hawaii - North Texas soccer senior captains Olivia Klein and Brooke Lampe along with sophomore defender Hadley Williams were named to the 2021 Outrigger Soccer Kickoff All-Tournament team for their performance this past week in Hawaii.

The Mean Green (3-0-1) went 1-0-1 in the two-match tournament hosted by Hawaii and allowed just one goal over the 200 combined minutes played. They drew with Hawaii on Friday, 0-0, and beat Idaho State on Sunday, 4-1.

Lampe, the team's all-conference centerback, on Friday anchored the stout defense in route to its third shutout of the young season and then on Sunday held Idaho State to just four shots over the 90-minute match. Lampe was never substituted out of a match this past week.

Klein didn't score in Hawaii but was an attacking force coming off the wing for UNT (RV) and created many opportunities for her side.

Williams was huge for North Texas off the bench as she filled in defensively to assist in the Mean Green's shutout effort and played a career-high 78 minutes in each of her team's two matches in Hawaii.

UNT returns home to host Baylor on Thursday at 7 p.m. CT.
