Tennis heads to Fort Worth

FT. WORTH – The Mean Green tennis team heads back to Fort Worth for the second match of 2022. They will be facing Arkansas State beginning at 3 P.M. CT.
This comes after a 4-0 sweep of Abilene Christian last weekend. UNT, now 1-0 are led by freshmen Jasmine Adams and Liisa Vehvilainen who both won doubles and singles matches against ACU.
"We are looking at this match as another opportunity to improve on our execution and winning mind set." UNT head coach Sujay Lama said. "The goal early on in the season is to hammer our routines, rituals and details that goes for pre/post match as well during the match. We want to be a team that that is #1 in Controllable' s "
Arkansas State will be playing their first spring match. They left the fall with 5 wins at the Wofford Invite. Freshman Sofia Vdovychenko and sophomore Yasmine Humbert won their doubles bracket at the tournament. The Red Wolves won in just over half of their fall matchups.
