Cross Country Set For Final Pre-Conference Meet

DENTON, Texas - North Texas cross country is back on the course Saturday for the Arturo Barrios Invitational in Bryan-College Station, the final meet before the conference championships.

"I know we're ready to get back to racing," UNT cross country coach Erik Stevens said. "It's been a little while since we last were on the line. I want to approach this one with a very individual perspective for each person as we start to think ahead for conference and regional meets."

Competing for the Mean Green men's team will be Victor Neiva, Mason Garner, Luke Canon, Spencer Boykin, Cade McAndrew and Jesus Escamilla.

On the women's side, North Texas will feature Miranda Vreeland, Amy Pritchard, Tiblets Abreha, Tori Tauch, Shannon Cook and Katie Booth.

Competition for UNT will include host Texas A&M, Arkansas State, Baylor, Central Arkansas, Florida, Houston, Houston Baptist, Incarnate Word, Kansas City, Kennesaw State, Lamar, Lipscomb, Louisiana, LSU, McNeese State, New Mexico State, New Orleans, Nicholls State, Ohio State, Our Lady of The Lake, Prairie View A&M, Rice, Sam Houston, SMU (women), Stephen F. Austin, Tarleton State, TCU, Texas A&M-CC, Texas A&M-Texarkana, Texas Southern, Texas State and Texas Tech.
