Swim Team Opens C-USA Championships

LYNCHBURG, Va. - The Conference USA Swimming and Diving Championships began on Wednesday at the Liberty Natatorium with two swimming finals.
The Mean Green just missed out on the podium in the 800-yard freestyle relay, as the team of London Farris, Izabela Zekuciova, Bryanna Vasquez and Alvena Walpole finished fourth behind Florida Atlantic in a time of 7:23.71. Earlier in the evening, the Mean Green took fifth in the 200 medley relay in a time of 1:43.27 for the team of Diana Kolb, Jenny Holwell, Cierra Scully and Shaena McCloud.
The finals will continue on Thursday evening, including the first diving final in the 3-meter springboard.
