Beddingfield Named to C-USA All-Academic Team

DALLAS – North Texas senior Brooke Beddingfield has been named to the 2022 Conference USA All-Academic team, the league office announced.
The All-Academic team consists of student-athletes from the Conferences' six institutions that feature a women's swimming and/or diving program. Individuals must possess a 3.2 cumulative GPA in order to be eligible for nomination. Once nominated, school Academic Advisors vote on the team members.
Beddingfield carries a 3.92 GPA and was a member of the 2019, 2020 and 2021 Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Rolls and received the Conference USA Commissioner's Academic Medal in the previous three years. In the water this season, the Spring, Texas, native won the Consolation Final of the 100 breaststroke (1:03.75) at the C-USA Championships. She also swam the breaststroke leg on the 400 medley relay, which finished fifth in the Championship Final (3:46.77) at the C-USA Championships. She also finished fifth in the Consolation Final of the 200 breaststroke (2:21.27) at the C-USA Championships. She won the 100 and 200 breaststroke events in a dual vs. New Mexico State on senior day in times of 1:05.27 and 2:23.17, respectively.
