SB Signs Transfer Pitcher McKenzie Wagoner

The Oklahoma native finished the 2022 season with a 6-3 record, two saves, and one complete game. Wagoner led the Liberty pitching staff with a 1.95 ERA and struck out 38 batters on the year.
On Feb. 18 against her now new conference opponent, FAU, Wagoner picked up her first win of the season when she held the Owls to two hits in 4.0 scoreless innings. The RHP struck out three batters in the run-rule win.
Wagoner started in six games her freshman season in Lynchburg and finished 5-2 with one save, two complete games, a 2.62 ERA, and 29 strikeouts in 37.1 innings pitched.
The junior RHP will join the back-to-back-to-back Conference USA champions with two years of eligibility remaining.
A native of Newcastle, Okla., Wagoner graduated from Newcastle High School where she won the 2020 Gatorade Oklahoma State Player of the Year award as well as the 2020 Michelle Smith award.
Over the last two seasons, she has helped guide Liberty to a 88-33 record, two NCAA Regional appearances, two ASUN regular-season titles, and two conference tournament titles.
