Cross Country Heads to OSU Pre-Nationals

Mean Green will compete Saturday at the Cowboy Jamboree
DENTON, Texas – North Texas cross country will trek to Stillwater, Okla., the site of the 2022 NCAA Championships, for the Cowboy Jamboree Saturday at the OSU Cross Country Course.

"I'm really excited to be going up against the best teams in the NCAA this weekend," UNT cross country coach Erik Stevens said. "It's always good to put yourself in the mix of the best in the business as a coach and an athlete."

The meet will begin with the women's 6K starting at 7:45 a.m. CT, and the men's 8K will immediately follow at 8:30 a.m. CT.

Competing for the North Texas women's team will be Tiblets Abreha, Amy Pritchard, Miranda Vreeland, Brenna Zerby, Tori Tauch, Shannon Cook and Kate Hilty.  Â

On the men's side, Victor Neiva, Mason Garner, Luke Canon, Cade McAndrew, Nick Rodriguez and Jesus Escamilla-Camargo will be running for the Mean Green.

Competition for UNT includes host Oklahoma State, Air Force, BYU, Carl Albert State, Colorado, El Paso CC, Hardin Simmons, Harvard, Kentucky, Middle Tennessee State, Northern Arizona, Oklahoma Christian, Ole Miss, Redlands CC, Southern Nazarene, Stanford, Syracuse, Tulsa, Utah Valley and Washington. Men's-only teams will be Furman, Gonzaga, Princeton, Texas, Texas Southern and Wake Forest, while women's-only teams are Arkansas, Michigan and Toledo.
