Cross Country: Neiva, Vreeland Lead Mean Green at OSU

Mean Green men’s team places 21st overall

DENTON, Texas – Victor Neiva and Miranda Vreeland led the way for North Texas cross country Saturday at the Cowboy Jamboree at the OSU Cross Country Course in Stillwater, Okla.

Neiva set the pace for the UNT men's team for the third-consecutive meet, clocking an 8K time of 25:07.9 to finish 135^th individually in the Pre-Nationals field. Mason Garner placed 178^th with a time of 25:59.0, Cade McAndrew took 193^rd at 26:50.6, Nick Rodriguez finished 194^th at 27:05.5, and Luke Canon placed 198^th at 27:26.4.

Vreeland led the women's team in 179^th place with a 6K time of 23:58.2, followed by Brenna Zerby in 183^rd (24:15.5) and Tiblets Abreha in 192^nd (25:32.2).

The Mean Green men's team placed 21^st overall, while the women's team did not have a team score with three student-athletes competing.

Next up for North Texas is a return trip to Bryan-College Station for the Arturo Barrios Invitational on Oct. 15.
