Soccer Hosts Undefeated Texas State Sunday

DENTON — The North Texas women's soccer team will host undefeated Texas State Sunday afternoon.
The Mean Green (4-1-0) and Bobcats (5-0-0) are scheduled to kick-off at 1 p.m. CT. The match will be streamed on ESPN+.
UNT has never lost to Texas State and are 9-0-0 all-time. They last met in 2020-21 in San Marcos, Texas, with the Mean Green coming out victorious, 1-0. Current fifth-year senior Olivia Klein scored the lone goal. UNT has outscored Texas State a combined 18-3 all-time in meetings in Denton.
North Texas won its first four matches of the 2022 season before falling for the first time on Thursday, 3-2, at home against Oklahoma. Senior Madi Drenowatz scored a brace in the loss. It was just UNT's third home loss in its last 45 home matches. Prior to Thursday's loss, North Texas was 308-24-8 (.917) all-time when scoring two or more goals.
