
Track & Field Opens Indoor Season Friday at Arkansas

Field events begin at 11 a.m. CT, while running events get going at 1 p.m. CT
DENTON, Texas – North Texas Track & Field begins the Doug Marshall era Friday at the Arkansas Invitational to kick off the indoor season in Fayetteville, Ark.

Thirty-two Mean Green student-athletes will make their 2023 debuts in multiple events at the Randal Tyson Indoor Track. A full list of accepted entries can be found here.

UNT will be competing against an elite field that includes host Arkansas, Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Central Arkansas, Coffeyville CC, Drury, Harding, Little Rock, Louisiana Tech, Oklahoma, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma State, Oral Roberts, SFA, TCU, Texas A&M, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Texas A&M-Texarkana, Tulsa and UTA.

The meet will be streamed live on SEC Network+, with coverage beginning at 1 p.m. CT. Live results will be provided by Flash Results. Field events begin at 11 a.m. CT with the men's shot put and women's high jump, while running events get going at 1 p.m. CT with the qualifying rounds of the men's 60 meters. The initial USTFCCCA NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field Regional TFRI rankings are set to release Jan. 23, while the national rankings will come out on Jan. 24.
