
Men's Hoops Travels To Boise State For First Road Test

BOISE, Idaho - The UNT men's basketball team is at Boise State Tuesday for its first true road contest of the season.Â
The Mean Green (5-2) and Broncos (4-3) are scheduled to tipoff at 8 p.m. CT from Boise, Idaho The game will be broadcast on the Mountain West Network and the Mean Green Sports Network, presented by Learfield.
Tuesday marks the start of a three-game non-conference road trip for UNT who in each of its previous three games has won by a season-high margin. They're most recently coming off a 31-point victory over Mississippi Valley State at home on Saturday.
Boise State enters Tuesday after a thrilling 63-60 neutral site victory over Saint Mary's. Men's college basketball analytics Ken Pom has Tuesday's contest as a battle between two top 85 teams in the country with the Mean Green ranked slightly higher at 76.
Tuesday will be the 10th all-time meeting between North Texas and Boise State but the first since 2009 when the two schools also met in Boise. UNT is looking for its first win over the Broncos since Valentine's Day 1998.Â
North Texas and Boise State used to be conference mates in the Big West two decades ago.Â
The Mean Green enter their game at Boise State as one of the top road teams in the country over the past three years. Since the start of the 2021-22 season, UNT is 19-4 in road contests, Its .826 road winning percentage over the last three years is only second to Houston who is 19-3 (.864) in road games over the same time span.Â
Following Tuesday's game at Boise State, the Mean Green travel to Brooklyn, New York to face Fordham on Dec. 10 at the Barclay's Center - home to the NBA's Brooklyn Nets. That game is scheduled to tip off at 10:30 a.m. CT and will be broadcast on the Yes Network as well as the Mean Green Sports Network, presented by Learfield.
