Swim & Dive Earns Scholar All-America Team Honor

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The North Texas swimming and diving team earned Scholar All-America Team status from the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America.
The teams were selected based on qualifying criteria for the Fall 2022 team GPAs, and the Mean Green posted a 3.43 as a team. It marks the 19th consecutive semester the team has received the honor and its first as a member of The American, which had 100% of its teams achieve the honor.
North Texas had 27 of their 28 team members make the Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll for the spring semester with a 3.0 GPA or higher, while 10 team members earned the Conference USA Commissioner's Academic Medal for a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or higher for the 2021-2022 academic year.
"I'm excited to see that our Mean Green swimming and diving team members were able to have such a strong showing in the classroom again this past semester," UNT head coach Brittany Roth said. "Our student-athletes continue to achieve in the classroom and in the pool. I'm proud of their efforts as a team, as we made the jump to the American Athletic Conference, and I'm proud of their achievement of earning a 3.43 team GPA in the fall semester."
