Four members of the UNT swimming & diving program were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District list, which recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performance in the pool and in the classroom.
Seniors Olivia Dollar and London Farris, junior Diana Kolb and sophomore Shaena McCloud were all selected to the All-District list and advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot, which will be announced later this month.
Dollar, who is set to compete at the NCAA Zone D Diving Championships next week for the second consecutive year, has a 3.658 GPA in Kinesiology. Farris has racked up three Conference USA Championship medals and was one of the team's top performers at last month's American Athletic Conference Championship and has posted a 3.735 GPA in Drawing and Painting. Kolb tied for the second-most points scored at The American Championships last month and has a 3.91 GPA in Psychology. McCloud led all UNT student-athletes by accounting for 51 individual points at The American Championships last month and scored a bronze medal as a freshman last year at the C-USA Championships as part of the 400 freestyle relay team. She's posted a 3.536 GPA in Biomedical Engineering.
Farris, Kolb and McCloud are all set to compete at the CSCAAÂ National Invitational Championship next week in Elkhart, Indiana.
"I'm proud of the work our student-athletes put in, not only the pool, but also the classroom," UNT head coach Brittany Roth said. "It's a true testament to the culture our student-athletes have created, and I'm proud to have had so many team members awarded this honor. Each of our team members are in pursuit of excellence, and they deserve to be proud of this award."
