UNT Swimmers Set For National Invitational

ELKHART, Ind. - The Mean Green will send a large contingent to the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America National Invitational Championships, which is set to begin Thursday and run through Saturday.
The national invitational postseason meet is equivalent to college basketball's NIT and swimmers must qualify for the event.
In the pool, UNT will be represented by Emily Ally (50 backstroke, 100 backstroke), Kennedy Eichler (1,650 freestyle), London Farris (100 freestyle, 200 freestyle), Diana Kolb (50 backstroke, 100 backstroke, 200 backstroke, 100 IM), Noelle Marsh (100 freestyle), Laura Mazzotta (50 breaststroke, 100 breaststroke, 200 breaststroke, 200 IM), Shaena McCloud (50 freestyle, 100 freestyle, 50 butterfly, 100 butterfly), Tram Nguyen (100 IM) and Kailey Turner (200 butterfly). They will also send four relays: the 400 freestyle relay, 200 freestyle relay, 200 medley relay and 400 medley relay, which will be comprised of the aforementioned swimmers.
On the board, Olivia Dollar, Saylor Hawkins and Brigid Krbec will have their scores from the 3-meter springboard at this week's NCAA Zone D Championships counted, and Hawkins and Krbec's score from the Zone D Championships in the 1-meter springboard will also be counted.
"The team is getting excited for another great week of racing at the CSCAA National Invite," head coach Brittany Roth said. "This group has done a great job these past couple of weeks in their preparation and refocus as we set our sights on competing against really strong field. We've had a history of strong performances at this meet, and I'm excited to watch our student-athletes return and represent UNT on the national stage."
