DENTON — North Texas women's soccer forwards Kat Burnell and Bailey Wesco along with senior defender Rachel Roebuck were named to the 2023 American Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Watch List on Monday.
Burnell is the Mean Green's top returning goal scorer and was named to the 2022 Conference USA All-Freshman team a season ago. She scored the opening goal last week in UNT's 5-1 exhibition win over Abilene Christian.
Wesco is a newcomer to the Mean Green this season after transferring from Oklahoma. The 5-foot-11 forward was one of the top prep prospects coming out of the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex. TopDrawerSoccer ranked Wesco as a four-star prospect. The Midlothian High School grad scored 53 career goals in 60 career matches. Wesco scored two goals in UNT's exhibition win last week over ACU.

The Royse City, Texas, native was new to the Mean Green last season after transferring from Paris Junior College where she was an all-region honoree.
