HOUSTON — The UNT soccer team is back in action Sunday after a 10-day break and travel to (RV) Rice aiming to knock off the Owls.
The Mean Green (7-3-3, 3-1-1) and Rice (10-2-1, 4-1-0) are scheduled to kick off in Houston at 11 a.m. CT. The match will be broadcast on ESPN+.
North Texas enters Sunday as the nation's leader in shots per game (24.15) and second in the nation shots on goal per game (11.31).
This will be the 12th straight season UNT and Rice have played one another. The Mean Green lead the all-time series record 9-4-4 and won last year in Denton 6-0. It was the largest margin of victory in the series history.
After Sunday's road match, UNT will have a week off before they host South Florida next Sunday at 2:30 p.m. CT.
