Swim & Dive Set For Meets in New Mexico

DENTON - The UNT swimming and diving team will head to New Mexico for a pair of meets this weekend in what will be the first competition of the season for the divers.
The Mean Green will face New Mexico State in Las Cruces on Friday and then take on the University of New Mexico on Saturday in Albuquerque.
The swimmers had their taste of competitive action last Saturday at the Sam Freas Invitational and took him several race wins, while head coach Brittany Roth also got to get her first look at the team's newcomers in a race setting.
"I'm looking forward to the team competing this weekend in New Mexico and building upon their performances from the Sam Freas Invite," Roth said. "Adding in 3M and 1M (springboard diving events) for a total team competition will be a great opportunity for our team to come together and compete as a unit. The team has been laying down the foundation in training, and I'm excited about these meets."
On Saturday, the meet at UNM will be live streamed, with two separate streams for the swimming and diving events.
