Divers in Austin For Longhorn Diving Invite

AUSTIN - The UNT diving team is set to take on a stout field at the Longhorn Diving Invite at the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center after a strong showing last Friday at home in a dual win over Rice.
The Mean Green will take on host Texas, Texas A&M, TCU, Arizona, Stanford, Utah, Pittsburgh and Miami with a great opportunity to gauge the team's progress through the first few meets of the year, which have seen several wins, a few new school records and five NCAA Zone cuts achieved.
"I'm excited to see us compete at the Longhorn invite this weekend," associate head coach/diving coach Stephanie O'Callaghan said. "The team did a great job of staying focused and owning their performance last year. It will be a bigger invite this year with some strong competition to push us and learn from to make us better. It's also a good opportunity to compete in that longer format that we will have for conference and zones, which requires different preparation compared to a dual meet."
