DENTON, Texas – The UNT women's basketball team returns to the friendly confines of The Super Pit to host Northwestern State Wednesday night at 6 p.m. CT.
The Mean Green had their first road trips of the new season, splitting a pair of games at No. 25 Oregon and Abilene Christian. Following a loss to the Ducks, North Texas was able to pull out a 71-60 victory at ACU on Saturday behind Tommisha Lampkin's double double and 13 points from Ereauna Hardaway.
Lampkin was named to the AAC Honor Roll on Nov. 18, marking her second weekly award in as many weeks this season after being the Player of the Week on Nov. 11. The senior forward ranks among the nation's leaders in free throw attempts, offensive and total rebounds per game, and her three double doubles is the second most of any player.
Northwestern State will come to Denton with a 2-3 record having played a tough slate of nonconference opponents, including at No. 7 LSU and at Texas A&M. The Lady Demons live beyond-the-arc averaging 30.8 three-point attempts per game, which ranks No. 11 among all Division I teams.
Wednesday's contest will be streamed on ESPN+ with Kyle Youmans and Brian Burton and can be heard on the Varsity Sports App with Zac Babb and Michelle Brooks on the call.
