Soccer Earns Five All-Conference Honors

DENTON — The UNT women's soccer team earned five AAC All-Conference honors voted on by the league coaches the conference announced Sunday.
Senior Rachel Roebuck was voted first team all-conference, sophomore Alexis Miller and freshman Claire Niedermeier were voted third team all-conference. Niedermeier and fellow freshman Ella Bushko were voted to the league's all-freshman team.
The Mean Green's two all-freshman team honors were tied for the most among the 11 teams in the league and is tied for the most the program has had in a single year.
Rachel Roebuck
Senior captain Rachel Roebuck finished third among all American Athletic Conference players in goals scored with eight. The Royse City native played all over the field this season for her side. Roebuck who has primarily been a defender had previously never scored more than one goal in a season but embraced her new role and thrived. This is Roebuck's second all-conference honor. She was voted second team all-league in 2022 when UNT played in Conference USA.
Alexis Miller
Midfielder Alexis Miller earned her first career all-conference honor. The Haslet native finished second in the league in total assists with seven. Miller was also one of the top offensive threats as she fired off 47 shots over the season, which was fourth most in the league. She scored the match winner in North Texas' 1-0 win over Florida Atlantic.
Claire Niedermeier
Freshman Claire Niedermeier is the first UNT rookie to be named to an all-freshman team and all-conference team since Allie Byrd in 2019 when the Mean Green played in Conference USA. Niedermeier finished second on the team in goals scored and tied for the fourth most among AAC players with seven. She notched a hat trick in under 15 minutes of game time in the Mean Green's 6-0 win over Temple.
Ella Bushko
Freshman defensive outside back Ella Bushko grew into her role and has become a fixture in the starting lineup for the Mean Green. A fearless defender and explosive offensive player with speed, Bushko hardly came off the field over the last two months of the season. Bushko and her pink cleats can be seen all over the field impacting the match.
