Men's Hoops Hosts Memphis Thursday

DENTON — The UNT men's basketball team hosts (RV) Memphis Thursday night at Super Pit.
The Mean Green (13-10, 6-5) and the Tigers (18-6, 7-4) are scheduled to tip-off at 7 p.m. CT. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+ and the Mean Green Sports Network, presented by Learfield.
Thursday will be the 24th all-time meeting between North Texas and Memphis but the first since their 2007 NCAA Tournament first round matchup. It'll be the first time they've met in the regular season since 1983.
The two schools were conference mates in the Missouri Valley from 1967-73. Thursday will be just the third time the two schools have played in the Super Pit, which opened in 1973.
Thursday is the American Athletic Conference's Showcase game. The league will bring the 2024 championship trophy to the Super Pit. Pictures with the trophy will be available for fans inside of Gate B.
After Thursday's game the Mean Green travel to UAB to face the Blazers in Birmingham, Alabama on Sunday at 2 p.m. CT. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+ and the Mean Green Sports Network, presented by Learfield.
