Tennis Travels to Arkansas to Take on Southeast Missouri, Central Arkansas

Mean Green looking to bounce back after back-to-back losses
DENTON, Texas – Coming off a pair of narrow losses last weekend in Florida, the UNT women's tennis team looks to bounce back Thursday and Friday when they travel to Conway, Arkansas, to take on Southeast Missouri State and Central Arkansas.
The Mean Green head into the weekend with a 4-3 overall record and will be looking for their first neutral site and road victories of the season. UNT takes on the Redhawks Thursday at 2:30 and play against host UCA Friday at 10:00 AM.
Carolina Laydner and Stadfany Nformi lead UNT in singles play thus far this season, both with 4-1 records through seven total matches. Laydner is 4-1 playing on lines four and five while Nformi is 4-2 playing exclusively on line two.
In doubles play, meanwhile, the combinations of Lilly Schultz and Lou Chalard and Nformi and Olivia Halvorsen both have 5-1 records on the year.
Overall, UNT has posted an impressive 13-4 overall record in doubles play this season.
Southeast Missouri comes into the weekend 1-4 overall thus far in 2024. The Redhawks lone win came on the road against Lindsey Wilson College (Ky.) 5-2.
Central Arkansas will head into Friday's match with a 4-3 record, grabbing wins over Oral Roberts, Kansas City, Arkansas Tech and Omaha.
The two matchups will be the end of a four-match road trip before UNT returns to Waranch Tennis Complex for four straight home contests over the course of the next two weekends.
