DENTON, Texas – UNT women's basketball (19-6, 9-4 AAC) will host Charlotte (14-12, 7-7 AAC) Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. CT inside The Super Pit.
The game will serve as UNT's "Play4Kay" Pink Game supporting the Kay Yow Cancer Fund.
After falling to UTSA, 66-63, on Sunday, the Mean Green will have another opportunity to clinch their 20th win of the season. With a win, they would set a new program record for most wins in a regular season.
Charlotte enters Wednesday's game having lost three of its last four, but has a win over the Mean Green from earlier in the season. In that game that opened conference play for both teams, Dazia Lawrence had 23 points for the 49ers, while North Texas was outscored 23-7 in the second quarter that proved to be the difference in the game.
Since then, UNT has been a consistent figure atop the AAC standings, but now shares a lead with Temple with a 9-4 conference record.
Wednesday's game will be streamed on ESPN+ with Kyle Youmans and Brian Burton on the call. The game can also be heard on the Varsity Sports Network with Zac Babb and Michelle Brooks.
