DENTON - The UNT swim and dive program revealed its 2024-25 schedule on Friday, and the season will see the Mean Green host four meets before returning to the campus of SMU in Dallas for the American Athletic Conference Championship in February.
The Mean Green will host four meets - double the usual two - as they welcome UIW and Rice to Denton in the fall and Iowa State and Little Rock in back-to-back weeks in January and February.
"I'm looking forward to the 24-25 season, and the competition we get to take on throughout the year," head coach Brittany Roth said. "We have opportunities to highlight and showcase our strengths while we can analyze and assess our progress along the way. We've added depth and range to our already strong team, and I'm excited for them to begin working together."
UNT will open the season with an exhibition at the Sam Freas Invite, hosted by Oklahoma Christian on Sept. 28, before opening up official competition in the Land of Enchantment with trips to Las Cruces and New Mexico State and Albuquerque and UNM on Oct. 4 and Oct. 5, respectively.
The divers will participate in three diving-only meets at Houston (Oct. 11-12), Texas (Nov. 15-17) and SMU (Nov. 21-23), the last of which will take place while the swimmers at the midseason championships in Indianapolis at the House of Champions.
Prior to the two winter home meets against Iowa State and Little Rock, UNT will travel to the Rio Grande Valley to take on UTRGV in Edinburg in the final road meet before traveling to Dallas for conference championships in Dallas on Feb. 19-22.
