Women's Golf in Second Going to Final Round

MANHATTAN, Kan. - The UNT women's golf team opened up the season on Monday at Colbert Hills Golf Club at the Powercat Classic, hosted by Kansas State, and sit in second place entering Tuesday's final round after 36 holes of play on Monday.
The Mean Green were led by Malisone Chanthapanya, who was 2-over in the first round on Monday before shooting an even-par 72 in the second round and putting herself in a tie for fourth place at 2-over par going to Tuesday's final round. Three of her teammates - Mason Lewis, Bouquet Subsomboon and Shreya Pal - are tied for 12th at 6-over.
Entering Tuesday's final round, the Mean Green are at 15-over as a team - 10 shots back of leader and host Kansas State.
The Mean Green will be paired on Tuesday with Kansas State and third-place Jacksonville State, which is eight shots back of UNT.
