Sunday's match is scheduled to kickoff at 1 p.m. CT and will be broadcast on ESPN+. It's the Mean Green's final non-conference match of the 2024 season.
North Texas (5-2-1, 1-0-0) is 6-0-0 all-time versus ACU (2-1-4) and 3-0-0 all-time on the road at the Wildcats' stadium. They last met in the 2022 season opener in Denton. The Mean Green trailed early but came back to win 5-1. They last played in Abilene in 2021 and beat the Wildcats 2-0.
UNT heads into Sunday's afternoon match on a six-game unbeaten streak. It's the Mean Green's longest unbeaten streak since 2018 when they went on a 12-match unbeaten streak. During their current six-match unbeaten, North Texas has outscored its opponents 21-2. They have shutout five of the six opponents, including its last three straight.
The Mean Green are coming off a 1-0 home victory over Florida Atlantic last Thursday night in its American Athletic Conference opener. Sophomore Alexis Miller scored what ended up being the eventual match-winning goal.
After Sunday's match, UNT will hit the road again and travel to Tulsa on Thursday for a 7 p.m. CT scheduled kickoff.
