Mean Green Ready For Road Clash At No. 8 Memphis

DENTON - The UNT soccer team will get back on the road after picking up its first American win of the season last week at Temple, and this time it will be for a matchup with who, on paper, should be the toughest test of the year at No. 8 Memphis. The teams are set for a 7 p.m. kickoff at the Memphis Track and Soccer Complex, and the game will be broadcast on ESPN+.

The Mean Green (5-8-1, 1-3-0) have the positive momentum of a win along with some key players returning from injury on their side against the Tigers, who lead the American with a 10-0-2 overall record and a 4-0-1 mark in conference play. They are also coming off a week that saw the program secure American Goalkeeper of the Week (Alina Arneth), Offensive Player of the Week (Mia Bernard) and Freshman of the Week (Lillian Vandiver).

UNT is 0-2-1 all-time against Memphis, with both losses coming at Memphis and the one draw coming last year in Denton, when the Mean Green played a ranked Memphis team to a scoreless draw.
