Men's Hoops Hosts Eastern Washington Tuesday

DENTON — The UNT men's basketball team hosts Eastern Washington at the Super Pit Tuesday night aiming to extend its home winning streak to 10 in a row.
The Mean Green (4-2) and Eagles (1-5) are scheduled to tip off at 7 p.m. CT. The game will be broadcast on the Mean Green Sports Network, presented by Learfield on KHYI 95.3 FM and on ESPN+.
Tuesday will be just the second time North Texas and Eastern Washington have ever played one another and the first time they've met since 1993 when UNT beat the Eagles 78-71 in a neutral site match up.
20 Of Its Last 21
UNT enters Tuesday having won nine straight home games dating back to last season and 20 of its last 21 home games dating back to the start of last season. UNT's 20 home wins since the start of last season is tied for the 8th most in the nation.
Going For 100
North Texas sophomore guard Je'Shawn Stevenson enters Tuesday as the Mean Green's leading scorer through the first six games of the year with 87 points scored. If he scores at least 13 points on Tuesday against Eastern Washington he would become the first UNT player since Umoji Gibson in 2018 to score 100 points in the Mean Green's first seven games of the season. Gibson scored 112 in the first seven games of the 2018-19 season.
Season High On The Glass
UNT sophomore forward Reece Robinson had a season high nine rebounds on Thursday versus Central Arkansas. Reece Robinson teams are 5-0 in games when he gets at least nine rebounds in a game.
Most Free Throws Since 2018
UNT made 27 free throws on Thursday versus Central Arkansas. It was UNT's most made free throws in a single game since they made 32 against San Francisco on March 30, 2018 in the CBI title game.
Four Straight In Double Figures
UNT sophomore guard Je'Shawn Stevenson enters Tuesday having scored in double figures in four straight games. It's the first time in his career he's scored in double figures in four straight games. Over the last four games Stevenson is averaging 16.5 points per game. Stevenson has scored in double figures in five of UNT's six total games this year.
Three Straight In Double Figures
UNT guard David Terrell Jr. enters Tuesday's game having scored in double figures in three straight games. It's the second time in his career he's had a three-game streak of scoring in double figures. He has never scored in double figures in four straight games in his career. Over the last three games Terrell Jr. is averaging 12.6 points per game.

Following Tuesday's game the Mean Green will host Prairie View A&M at the Super Pit on Sunday at 3 p.m. CT. The game will be North Texas' annual stuff-a-bear game. UNT fans can purchase a Stuff A Bear Ticket Package and stuff two bears pregame and receive a game ticket for just $27. Fans can keep one bear and toss the other during the halftime teddy bear toss. All the tossed teddy bears will be donated to kids at local hospitals. If you already have a ticket to Sunday's game you can purchase the bear stuffing add-on for only $17.
