FORT WORTH – The UNT men's basketball team had its four-game win streak snapped as they fell to TCU Sunday afternoon at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, 65-55.
The Mean Green (7-3) had a six-point lead going into halftime over the Horned Frogs (6-3) and were tied midway through the second half but a 13-2 run by TCU late in the second half gave them the separation they needed.
"A ton of credit to coach (Jamie) Dixon and TCU as they made it tough on us in the second half," said UNT head coach Daniyal Robinson. "I was proud of our fight and togetherness today though. There's a lot to build off from today."
North Texas was led in scoring Sunday by David Terrell Jr. who finished with a personal season high 16 points, which also led all scorers Sunday and was just one point off his single game career best.
Dylan Arnett recorded his 33rd career double digit scoring game as he finished with 11 points to go along with a season high four assists.
Next up, North Texas hits the road as they'll take on South Alabama on Dec. 14 in Mobile, Alabama.
