Atin Wright Named AAC Player of the Week

Wright had a historic performance on Thursday in the Mean Green's 75-64 win over Charlotte at home. The senior scored 42 points, the most by an AAC player this season and second most in the league's history. He also had a 21-point performance in a 68-66 win over Wichita State last Monday.
Wright helped lead North Texas to 23 regular wins this season, tied for the second most in program history. The California native led UNT in scoring during the regular season averaging 15 points per game and sinking 83 3-pointers.
UNT earned the No. 2 seed in the conference tournament, which for the Mean Green begins Friday in the quarterfinal round at 6 p.m. CT from Dickies Arena in Fort Worth. North Texas will play the winner of Temple and Tulsa.
