IOWA CITY, Iowa - The NCAA Zone D diving Championships wrapped up on Wednesday afternoon at the University of Iowa, as the Mean Green had two competitors in the platform event.
Junior Kamryn Wong qualified for the event earlier in the year but decided not to compete in the event after making the finals in both the 1-meter and 3-meter springboard events on Monday and Tuesday. That left sophomore Sydney Guidara and freshman Amelia Sharp, who swapped the school record in the event back and forth this year, to vie for a spot in the top-18 and in the final.
Guidara led the way with her 24th place showing with a score of 210.40, and Sharp totaled a score of 185.85 to finish 33rd.
