Men's Basketball Earns 2025 NIT Invite

DENTON — The UNT men's basketball team has accepted an invitation to the 2025 National Invitation Tournament.
The Mean Green, who won the 2023 NIT championship, will be the No. 2 seed in the SMU region and will open the 32-team national postseason tournament hosting Furman at the Super Pit Wednesday at 7 p.m. CT. The game will be broadcast on the Mean Green Sports Network, presented by Learfield and on ESPN+.
North Texas has won 24 games so far this season and finished second in the American Athletic Conference standings with a 14-4 league record. They reached the AAC Championship Semifinals.
Season ticket holders have the ability to reserve their same seating locations for any games the Mean Green host in the tournament. To do so, they have to log in to their Mean Green Ticket Account and click on Season Renewal Application then clicking on NIT Season Ticket Holder Application.
By completing this application, season ticket holders guarantee the same seats for home postseason games and will be automatically opted into their season ticket location for all future games hosted at the Super Pit. If they are unable to make a future round, please let the UNT Athletic Ticket Office know within 24 hours of the announcement of the next round being hosted in Denton to prevent your credit card on file from being charged.
All unclaimed seats will be released to the public on Tuesday at 5pm CT. Questions should be directed to the North Texas ticket office at 940.565.2527 or at ticketoffice@unt.edu.
