DENTON – The UNT men's basketball team hosts East Carolina Friday for a mid-day doubleheader at the Super Pit with the Mean Green women's team.

The game will be broadcast on the Mean Green Sports Network, presented by Learfield on KHYI 95.3 FM and on ESPN+. The men's game will be the first half of the doubleheader with the women's game starting soon after the conclusion.
This doubleheader was originally scheduled for Saturday afternoon but due to the impending weather the game was moved up to Friday.

Friday will be the seventh all-time meeting between North Texas and East Carolina. The Mean Green have won four straight over the Pirates entering Friday. This will be the first time the two teams have met in Denton in two years. Last year UNT beat ECU in Greenville, North Carolina, 69-60, in what was their only matchup.
Following Friday's game, the Mean Green will hit the road Wednesday for Tulsa. UNT beat the Golden Hurricane, 72-67, in Denton on Jan. 4.
A CAREER NIGHT
North Texas guard Je'Shawn Stevenson scored a career-high 27 points on Wednesday against UTSA. The sophomore guard was 10-of-19 from the floor and 7-of-13 from deep.
