DENTON - The UNT soccer team returns home looking to get back in the win column, as the Mean Green are set to host FAU on Thursday night at 7 p.m. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+.
The Mean Green (4-5-3, 0-2-2) are coming off a 3-0 road loss at UAB last week, and are looking for their first win in American Conference play against the Owls (4-5-4, 2-2-0).
UNT has an 14-5-1 all-time advantage in the series with FAU, but has won the last two meetings. UNT's last loss in the series came in 2022, when FAU won 1-0 in Denton.
The Mean Green will look to convert on more chances, as they are tied for 20th nationally and second in the conference in shots per game with 25. Junior forward Claire Niedermeier has nine goals in the team's 12 matches this season but has yet to score in conference play, while sophomore forward Payton Annis has two goals on the year with both having come in conference action.
