Swimming & Diving Set For American Championships

GREENSBORO, N.C. - The UNT swimming and diving program will begin competition on Wednesday at the American Conference Swimming & Diving Championships with action every day through the meet's completion on Saturday at the Greensboro Aquatic Center.
The Mean Green will take on an expanded field this season, as a few teams have been added to the list of conference foes with the additions of James Madison, Liberty and Marshall, along with holdovers East Carolina, FAU, FIU, Rice and Tulane in what makes up arguably the top mid-major swimming conference in the country.
The Mean Green surprised some folks last year at the conference championship in Dallas with the most medals since joining the conference and three golds - all in diving, including the team diving event. Now a senior, diver Kamryn Wong was named the conference's Most Outstanding Diver and associate head coach/diving coach Stephanie O'Callaghan took home Diving Coach of the Year honors.
