Women’s Basketball Earns No. 5 Seed at American Conference Championship

DENTON, Texas – The UNT women's basketball team earned the fifth seed at the American Conference Championship, which takes place from March 10-14 at Legacy Arena at the BJCC in Birmingham, Ala.

As a top six seed, North Texas (17-13, 11-7 American) received a bye into the tournament's second round and awaits the winner of No. 8 Charlotte and No. 9 Florida Atlantic. That game is slated for noon CT on Wednesday, March 11, and will be available for streaming on ESPN+.

With a win, the Mean Green would then face No. 4 Tulsa in the quarterfinal round on Thursday afternoon.
