Soccer Set to Host Unbeaten Oral Roberts

DENTON - The UNT soccer team will get a chance to knock off a team from the ranks of the unbeaten on Thursday night, as the Mean Green host Oral Roberts at Norma Knobel Hunt Stadium at 7 p.m.
The Mean Green (2-1-0) have won two straight over ULM and McNeese State and are coming off a week that saw them nab two of the American Conference's weekly awards, as Claire Niedermeier was named Offensive Player of the Week and Sarah Margaret Seabrook earned Goalkeeper of the Week honors.
UNT is 9-1-1 all-time against ORU and have won the last five meetings by a combined score of 13-1. UNT won the last meeting, 5-0, in Tulsa early in the 2023 season.Â
In last week's action, Niedermeier scored four goals, including the lone goal in last Thursday's 1-0 home win over ULM and a hat trick on the road at McNeese State on Sunday in a 4-2 win. Seabrook combined to make nine saves in the two matches and had her first collegiate shutout against ULM.
