Mean Green Ready to Face Charlotte

DENTON - The UNT soccer team continues American Conference play on Thursday with a road matchup against Charlotte, which was one of the preseason favorites to win the conference, with kickoff set for 6 p.m.
The Mean Green (4-3-2) are coming off a 1-1 draw last Thursday with South Florida to open conference play. UNT was able to battle back after falling behind 1-0 at halftime to earn the draw with a beautifully placed direct free kick from sophomore Payton Annis in the 52nd minute.
Charlotte (4-4-0, 0-1-0) is coming off a conference opening loss to Florida Atlantic. UNT has an all-time 7-3-2 advantage in the series with Charlotte but is just 1-3-2 over the last six meetings after winning the first six meetings between the programs.
UNT will be without senior captain Mia Bernard, as the midfielder will serve a one-game suspension for a red card in the draw with South Florida.
