DENTON - The UNT soccer team is back on the road looking to get back in the win column, as the Mean Green are set to take on UAB on Thursday night at 7 p.m. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+.
The Mean Green (4-4-3, 0-1-2) are coming off a 1-1 draw on Sunday against Temple, and are looking for their first win in American Conference play against the Blazers (5-5-1, 2-1-0).
UNT has an 5-4-2 all-time advantage in the series with UAB, but the Mean Green's last win in the series came in 2021, while the last win in Birmingham was in 2016.
The Mean Green will look to convert on more chances, as they are tied for 14th nationally and second in the confernece in shots per game with 17.82. Junior forward Claire Niedermeier has nine goals in the team's 11 matches this season but has yet to score in conference play, while sophomore forward Payton Annis has two goals on the year but both have come in conference action.
