Miranda Smith began at North Texas in September 2022. She serves as a Sports Nutrition Fellow, working as a dietitian for the softball, cross country, track and field, and women's basketball teams to promote performance nutrition in athletes through 1-on-1 counseling, body composition assessments, team education, meal planning, fueling stations, as well as coordinating food for home and away competitions.

Prior to UNT, Smith earned a bachelor's of science degree in Nutrition from Baylor University & a master's of science degree in Nutrition from University of Alabama at Birmingham. Smith has served as a personal trainer at Lifetime Fitness, and Outpatient Clinical Dietitian at Aramark. In addition to her Fellowship, Smith also works as an Adjunct Professor at Baylor University.

Smith is a major foodie that loves trying new restaurants or recipes at home. She frequently goes to country concerts or two-stepping at Billy Bob's or anywhere she can dance to country music. Smith also loves to hike, lift, and go to local coffee shops to spend time with her family and friends.
