Reid Romine was named Assistant Director of Athletic Communications in November 2023. He serves as the primary contact for UNT women’s basketball and track & field/cross country and a secondary contact for football.
In his first season with the Mean Green women's basketball program, Romine managed the media relations and social media efforts in the winningest season in program history that resulted in a share of the regular season conference title.
Before coming to North Texas, Romine was a student intern and graduate assistant at Oklahoma State University. He served as the primary contact for the wrestling program for three seasons, while also holding secondary roles with the football, women's golf and equestrian teams throughout his time in Stillwater. Romine coordinated all internal and external communications for the wrestling program that finished as high as No. 3 nationally during his tenure. In addition, the social media following grew by 33% and surpassed 180K combined followers between its platforms under his watch. In October 2022, Romine was named one of five finalists for the National Wrestling Media Association's Division I SID of the Year for the 2021-22 season.
Originally from San Antonio, Texas, Romine graduated from Oklahoma State with a bachelor’s degree in sports media in 2021 and a master’s degree in mass communication with an emphasis in sport and brand communications in 2023.
