Alic’a Oliver joined the Mean Green in September 2018 and was elevated to Associate Athletic Director of Compliance in 2021 before being elevated to her current position as Senior Associate Athletic Director for Compliance & Impact in 2022.
In her role, she is tasked with oversight of the compliance office and staff, providing support to UNT administrators, coaches, staff, and student-athletes in 16 varsity sport programs. Among other duties, Alic’a serves as the staff advisor to the UNT Black Student-Athlete Community group (B.A.C.) and provides sport program oversight for the UNT Men’s and Women’s Cross Country and Track and Field programs.
Prior to joining the Mean Green, Alic’a was a Director of Compliance at the University of Tennessee for just over three years. She arrived on Rocky Top after serving as the Compliance Coordinator at Kansas State University.
A member of the National Association for Athletics Compliance (NAAC), Alic’a was elected as an officer of the organization’s Board of Directors after serving as Chair of the Professional Development Committee. She currently holds the Second-Vice President position of NAAC. Alic’a is an active member of the Minority Opportunities in Athletics Association and was selected to join the Board of Directors in June 2023. She also serves as a member of the Women Leaders in College Sports Awards Committee.
A native of Missouri City, Texas, Alic’a earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Texas. She then graduated from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University, where she also joined the LSU Athletics Office of Compliance as a legal extern.
