Samuelson Featured On High School Sports Magazine Cover

DENTON, Texas (7/17/08) - North Texas softball signee Lyndi Samuelson is featured on the July cover of the Greater Fort Worth-Denton edition of the VYPE High School Sports Magazine. Samuelson and the Aledo high school softball team won the state title and the mythical national championship in May.
Samuelson and the Aledo Ladycats were included in Vype’s Best of 2007-08 issue after a stellar 2008 season. The Ladycats lost their season-opening game but rebounded with 38 straight wins, including the 4-0 victory against Nederland in the 4A state title game on May 31st in Austin.
In addition to the state championship, Aledo also finished ranked No. 1in the National Fastpitch Coaches Association/USA Today national poll.
Samuelson also picked up a number of individual accolades. She was named to the UIL state softball all-tournament team and received 4A all-state honors. She also received academic all-state recognition.
