Mean Green Plays No. 15 OU Tonight

DENTON, Texas (5/5/11) - The North Texas softball team finishes up its regular season tonight with a 6 p.m. game against No. 15 Oklahoma.
The Mean Green improved to 22-29 overall with a 3-2 win against UTA last night. North Texas recorded a 17-12 record at home this season, setting a school record for most wins at Lovelace Stadium. North Texas struggled on the road, posting a 3-13 record away from Lovelace Stadium.
One of the Mean Green's home losses was to No. 10 Oklahoma by a score of 3-0. Ashley Kirk struck out eight Sooners in the loss. The redshirt freshman struck out 11 in the win against UTA. OU is currently ranked No. 15 in the nation and boasts a 35-16 record.
The Mean Green finished up conference play with a 7-16 mark and will find out this weekend if the team will make the conference tournament. North Texas needs help in order to continue playing next week.
