DENTON — The North Texas softball team put an exclamation point on the fall semester with the annual Mean Green Melee, an Olympic-style conditioning event, where they split into two teams and competed in eight different challenges.
After a break for the winter holidays, the team returns to campus in January for the start of spring practice, in preparation for its season opener on Friday, Feb. 12 when the Mean Green play Arizona in the first of five games in three days at the Arizona Tournament in Tucson, Arizona.
