Ulenaers Paces Mean Green At Hackler

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The North Texas men's golf team began play at the General Hackler Championship on Monday at The Dunes Golf & Beach Club and through two rounds sit in 12th place at 14-over par.
The Mean Green were led by redshirt sophomore Kristof Ulenaers, whose eagle on 15 in the second round helped him to a second-round 70 and a 1-over showing through two rounds in a tie for 34th place.
Sophomore Viktor Forslund matched Ulenaers' second-round 70 and is in a tie for 48th at 3-over par for the tournament. Senior Jordan Sanders is a shot back of Forslund at 4-over par after shooting par in the second round on Monday.
"We had three good rounds in the afternoon (second round) to give us a boost going into tomorrow," UNT coach Brad Stracke said.
The Mean Green will begin Round 3 at 7:20 a.m. CT, Tuesday on Hole 10 and will be paired with East Carolina and Kent State.
