Gregory Named C-USA Player Of Week

IRVING – For the third straight week, a North Texas player has been tabbed for one of Conference USA's weekly honors. Junior Lacy Gregory is the C-USA softball Player of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday.
She picks up the honor for a week in which she posted a .611 OBP and drove in seven runs in 15 at-bats. It is the second time in her career to be named C-USA Player of the Week (Feb. 12, 2018).
"Lacy had a great week," head coach Rodney DeLong said. "She had a great week against quality pitching. She continues to hit at a high level."
Gregory started all five games for the Mean Green at shortstop, garnering eight hits for a .533 average. She had two home runs in separate losses to UT – Arlington. Her most productive day at the plate came in the opener of the Texas Tech invitational, going 2 for 2 with 4 RBI, a home run and two walks against UTA.
The Mean Green return to action at home to begin conference play on Saturday against Southern Miss with a doubleheader. First pitch is at 1 p.m.
